How It Started
I didn't grow up as an athlete. I started resistance training at 24—not to compete, not to impress anyone, but because I was curious about human potential. What could the body do if you trained it systematically? What were the limits? Could those limits be pushed?
Five decades later, I'm still asking those questions.
Along the way, I built a career in business and research. I've always been fascinated by systems—how they work, how they break down, how they can be optimized. That analytical mindset naturally extended to human biology. While running companies and conducting research, I was simultaneously running my own multi-decade experiment in performance and longevity.
The data is in. The results are clear. And I'm still here, still training, still learning.
The Problem I'm Solving
At some point in their fifties or sixties, most people accept a narrative: that getting older means getting weaker, slower, more fragile. That independence will fade. That strength is something you had in your youth, not something you maintain throughout life.
That narrative is wrong.
Not optimistically wrong. Not "think positive and you'll stay young forever" wrong. Scientifically wrong.
Aging is real. The biology of aging is well-documented. But much of what we attribute to aging is actually the result of inactivity, poor nutrition, chronic stress, and lack of knowledge about what drives biological decline.
The twelve Hallmarks of Aging—the core biological processes underlying aging—can be influenced. Not eliminated. Not reversed entirely. But slowed, managed, and in some cases, partially countered through specific interventions.
The science exists. The methods work. But most people over 60 either don't know about them or don't believe they're capable of applying them.
I'm here to change that.

Research papers don't build muscle. Knowing the biochemistry of autophagy doesn't reduce your inflammation. You need actionable strategies—specific training protocols, nutrition approaches, recovery techniques—that fit into real life. That's what I provide.

Inspired by the desire to empower individuals to take control of their well-being, we set out to create a resource that provides evidence-based information and practical strategies for optimizing health. What I Believe
Aging Is Biology, Not Destiny
The biological processes of aging are real and well-understood. But they're processes, not inevitabilities. Processes can be influenced, slowed, managed. You have more control than you think.
Effort Matters
There are no shortcuts. Building and maintaining a strong, resilient body requires consistent effort. But if you're willing to do intelligent work—not random work, not excessive work, but intelligent work—the results are extraordinary
Knowledge Is Power
Understanding why you're doing something is as important as doing it. When you understand the biology—why resistance training preserves muscle mass and bone density, why protein intake matters more as you age, why chronic inflammation drives multiple aging processes—you're more likely to stay consistent.
You're More Capable Than You Think
Society has conditioned older adults to expect decline. But I see people in their sixties, seventies, even eighties making remarkable progress when they're given proper guidance and believe in their capacity to improve. Age is a factor. It's not a verdict.
One Size Does Not Fit All
Every body is different. Every person has different history, different limitations, different goals. Effective training for longevity requires personalization—understanding your starting point, your constraints, and your objectives.

Why I'm doing this now
For decades, this knowledge was personal. I trained for myself, refined methods for myself, learned for myself.
But watching friends and colleagues decline unnecessarily—losing strength, independence, confidence—because they believed aging meant giving up... that changed something.
I have knowledge that could help millions of people live stronger, longer, more independent lives. Knowledge backed by science and proven by five decades of application. Not sharing it felt irresponsible.
So at 74, I'm starting a new chapter. I've completed my personal training certification. I've synthesized the research into accessible content. I've built Health Absorbed to be a resource for people who refuse to accept decline.
This isn't about ego or legacy. It's simpler than that.
